Baby Audio really hit a home run with this one. It’s so good that I almost could replace my Valhalla reverbs and Fabfilter Pro R with it. Actually, the last time I was so surprised by a reverb plug-in was when Valhalla released their Vintage Verb. I’ve not been a huge fan of Baby Audio so far tbh. I’ve received I Heart NY and Parallel Aggressor for free, but I still don’t use them or even have them installed. Comeback Kid and Spaced Out were great though and the only ones I’ve bought (up until Crystalline that is). However, Smooth Operator and TAIP lowered my expectations again (I really didn’t like them). This makes me think that they are better suited for creating great reverbs, delays and modulation plug-ins rather than more technical ones like Smooth Operator or compression/distortion plug-ins. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if they can come up with a real home run for those categories as well.

I love this reverb! It feels like it addresses my main complaint about Spaced out which is that its not really possible to get the more utility type reverb sounds. Crystaline is more of an all purpose reverb that has all the tools I need at my fingertips. The one thing i wish it had is the randomize button that Spaced Out has. That to me we make it the best reverb out there.

Wow, first Spaced Out, and now this–and with yet another subtly skeuomorphic AND resizable UI to boot. Freakin’ love these devs’ ideas.
