In Session Audio’s Fruit Shake For Kontakt Player Is FREE For A Limited Time

In Session Audio offers the Fruit Shake percussion sample library for NI Kontakt Player as a free download for a limited time.

Fruit Shake is an organic percussion (shaker) library from In Session Audio, and you can download it for free until November 21, 2023.

If some of you are experiencing a feeling of déjà vu, it’s because we’ve seen this offer a few times over the years. But, as with any limited-time offer, some people will have missed out on Fruit Shake previously, and another chance to grab a freebie is always welcome.

Another thing that’s always welcome is a freebie that runs in the free Kontakt Player, and that’s exactly what you get with Fruit Shake.

Earlier this month, we had LO.VE Piano from VSTBuzz, and you can find even more in our best free Kontakt Player libraries article.

Fruit Shake provides four shakers (Apple, Banana, Lemon, and Carrot), each based on 120 samples across twelve articulation types.

In Session Audio recorded percussion focusing on the nuances that give any shaker performance its character: forward/backward thrusts, twists, and accents.

By paying such attention to detail with the individual elements of shaker performance, In Session Audio’s Fruit Shake can deliver the all-important in-between sounds that glue everything together.

As well as gluing everything together, the in-between sounds add a human/natural element that is sometimes lost on virtual percussion instruments.

The Fruit Shake interface is based on the Shimmer Shake Strike 2 percussion engine, and it’s very easy to use.

In the Main view, you can layer two shakers with individual volume and pan settings.

The Pattern view is where it gets interesting. You can choose from an assortment of ready-made patterns or create new ones from scratch.

The pattern editor makes it easy to add accents or rolls anywhere anywhere in your sequence. If you want two shakers playing in unison, you can copy your pattern and paste it to the other shaker to save some time.

Fruit Shake allows you to use eight patterns you can trigger via the interface or your MIDI keyboard. Eight patterns should be enough to trigger subtle variations or completely new sequences for most songs. You can also trigger individual hits and rolls.

When it comes to rolls, you can adjust the attack and release times to tailor them to your track perfectly.

Another cool thing about Fruit Loop is that you can sync it to your host, which means if your DAW starts playing at beat two of a bar, the shaker will begin playing from the second beat of the current pattern.

Fruit Shake ticks a lot of boxes: it’s free, it’s compatible with Kontakt Player, it’s simple, and it sounds good.

Keep in mind that the offer ends on November 21st, so act soon if you do not want to miss out!
