GPU Audio Launch Beat Making Contest With $2K In Prizes And A Free Sample Pack

4

GPU Audio has announced the launch of a beat-making competition running until the 24th of August, alongside a free sample pack for everyone to enjoy.

To spice things up, there are some hefty prizes you can win!

These include software from MNTRA, Audio Thing, Sonible, MusicByLukas, and our very own Bedroom Producer Blog (we are providing a free copy of Flame Sounds flagship Inferno SFX library).

To enter, participants need to make a beat of at least 1 minute in duration and submit it via the Beat Battle Channel on the GPU Audio Discord Server with a short (maximum 300 word) description of the process behind its creation.

As expected, entrants are encouraged to use GPU Audio’s suite of free beta plugins, available for Windows and MacOS for processing their beat.

These include the Space & Time Bundle and the Modulation Bundle containing a Phaser, Flanger, Chorus, Delay, and two Convolution Reverbs, all powered by your computer’s graphics card to process audio.

This isn’t the first contest GPU Audio has launched this year, so if you have missed the last edition, you still have almost a full week to enter by the time this article is published.

Personally, I love music production contests. I have attended many in the past. In my experience, they are a great opportunity to compete and grow with other producers, exchange feedback, and virtually meet like-minded people.

Even better if they are free to join, and there are great prizes you can take home!

The prizes are given to two semi-finalists, to the runner-up, and to the top winner, who gets any 3 products from Audio Thing, the Sonible Smart Bundle, MNTRA Caprakan, MusicByLukas 1 Month Academy Membership, 4 x TeamMBL Sample Packs and our premium Flame Sound – Inferno SFX Deluxe cinematic library!

Several live Discord events will accompany the competition, which started on the 2nd of August and will follow the next few days, with a final week of voting by the GPU Audio Discord community.

All genres of music are welcome as long as there is a beat present, so it’s mainly targeted at beatmakers rather than composers.

It’s important also to mention that there is even a free sample pack you can download from your GPU Audio account.

It features 157 drum-focused sounds rendered at 48 kHz, 32-Bit, and WAV format.

If you’re completely new to music production, you can read our guide on how to make a beat and download our favorite beat-making software.
